Peter and Suzanne were great hosts, and the place was perfect. We will 100% be back another time or two this winter!
Wonderful stay! Pete was awesome!
Beautiful scenery and clean atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Second time staying here and we will return
Peter was very friendly and hospitable. His place was clean, cozy, and peaceful. Nicely located near Nashville and Bloomington. We had a wonderfully peaceful few days!
We had a nice peaceful first night as husband and wife. Thanks 🙂
Amazing stay! I would recommend to anyone. Great hosts and perfect for a couples retreat ❤️
Great easy and quick little spot for us to stay, enjoy, and relax after visiting brown county. Thank you!
Very comfortable room, perfect for a two person getaway. Peter was very friendly and accessible if you have any questions. Less than a mile walk from the cabin, you can find a 4.5 mile loop trail (Scarce O'FatTrail) that takes you into Yellowwood State Forest and back to the cabin. Would highly reccomend!
Thank you for everything!
This place was amazing! Very restful and secluded with tons of nice amenities. It looks like there were other suites next to ours as well so this would be a good place to stay with family or friends if you wanted to rent out multiple listings in the same building and have completely separate rooms and bathrooms for all parties. I visit Bloomington occasionally to see family in the area and I'll definitely look to stay here next time I'm in town!
Very responsive. Kind people. Was a very beautiful and peaceful place with a lot of activities. We appreciated the snacks provided as well. Thank you for hosting us!
Very private, a simple enjoyable get-away.
Great stay with lots of communication. Would definitely return.
My husband and I wanted to have a little get away for a night so we could be kid free! We stayed in the Quiet B&B room and it was awesome! Easy to find & the room was just what we needed. The hot tub was awesome! We sat in it at night and had a relaxing time. The room was clean, comfy & cozy! We will definitely be back & for a longer period of time next time!
Will definitely be back. Great place to get away for a night and relax
Very comfortable and “Quiet”. We were only in town for one night for a concert. Back to Nature bed and breakfast was the perfect overnight stay for us. Very large bathroom, all of the basic necessities were provided. Peter was very good at communication and the directions were clear - easy to find even in the dark late at night. We enjoyed ourselves and will look them up again the next concert in Nashville.
Awesome little get away! Place was super cozy and will definitely be back!
Our stay in the 'Peace' room was delightful. Arrival instructions were clear and simple, the suite was very clean and cozy, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub looking out on the woods. All the conveniences needed for a night were included, plus a small breakfast and snacks. The hosts were responsive, helpful and friendly. We visited restaurants, breweries and hiked within 25 minutes of our stay. We would definitely return and recommend to others.
The place was wonderful! Perfect. Quiet. Peaceful...and had everything we needed for our short trip
Had a lovely stay. This location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Hosts were very friendly. Room had everything you could need including board games, books and magazines, a fan, portable heater, breakfast, hot tub, fridge and microwave. We would definitely stay here again!
The location was great! Really enjoyed the hot tub. We can not wait to come back.
Right next to the woods, rustic and quiet. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors off the beaten path. Only 10 minutes to Nashville and 15 to Bloomington. Our stay was very private, didn't see anyone else the entire weekend.
Hard to find at night so I'd try and arrive during the day, but Peter and Suzanne do a great job of describing how to find the unit if you do have to come in the dark.
Perfect little getaway in the woods
Perfect place for relaxation! This is the second time that we have stayed with Peter and Suzanne. Both times Peter came to greet us personally. The place was very clean and well maintained!
Very friendly owners, really didn’t have any problems.
It was great.
My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend and chose the “Quiet” room for our stay. It was most definitely quiet! The land was beautiful and it’s out in the middle of nowhere so it’s extremely private. They even provided a little snack bar/complimentary breakfast as well as little toiletries and even some board games to use! The hot tub was a great touch, too. We spent a lot of our time between Nashville and Bloomington, but we looked forward to coming back to our quiet, cozy room each night. This was the first time we have done something just the two of us since we had our son 2.5 years ago, and this was just what we needed to relax and recharge. Thanks so much for a great experience! We definitely plan to return in the future.
Peter and Susan's place is absolutely fantastic if you're looking for a romantic getaway for 2 this is a place to go the hot tub is private it's hot and it's very romantic to just sit with your partner and discuss things in This around the nature with the hot tub and the woods all around you it just makes for a great all around space thanks also the surrounding shops in Nashville are a must see go check them out for a great day of nothing everyone have a great 1
If you are looking for a scenic, comfortable stay then look no further. The 'Quiet' room we rented had a private entrance, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, great mini breakfast bar/snack station and a hot tub with an astounding view of the sunset. It was a pretty fair drive to everything aswell, maximum 15-20 minutes to get to the restaurants/kayak trips we went to. A lot of detail and appreciation is put into this stay.
This is a GREAT place to stay! It was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Loved how secluded it was-“Peace & Quiet” is the perfect name. The hot tub was my favorite part, obviously.
The only “negative” thing I can say is that there was no Wi-Fi at alll. The owner did mention he was having it fixed, but just a heads up if you plan to stay there soon.
We will definitely be back!
Great little cabin spot! It was cute and peaceful and just what we needed. We’ll be returning next time we are out that way.
Nice place! Clean and cozy room with a perfect hot tub!
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
Me and my girlfriend found this cute BnB with a nice looking hot tub so we decided to book it for a nice little Valentine’s weekend getaway. We were very excited for our stay in “Quiet” as we are both very busy people. Our stay was booked from Thursday to Sunday. What we got was anything but expected.
Thursday, when we got there, the host introduced himself and decided to give us his whole life story. I’m all for talking, but when there are obvious queues someone isn’t interested, just stop talking. We had just driven for 4 hours and were not really in the mood. At the end of this conversation we are told the hot tub is having issues staying warm, but the owner had hopefully fixed it and we would be able to use it a few hours later.
We walk down the path to the room, maneuvering piles of dogshit scattered al over the premises, to unpack our bags. Shortly after getting to the room, I went to connect to the wifi as I brought my laptop for my girlfriend to work on schoolwork. Come to find out, the wifi isn’t working. I call the owner and ask him about this and am IMMEDIATELY met with hostility. I was told that the reason it doesn’t work is my phone provider, which if you have the slightest idea about internet or wifi, you know this is completely wrong. Not only was this conversation accusatory, the man was trying to belittle me for simply asking a question.
A few hours later, around 10/10:30pm, we went to go try the hot tub. When we arrived, 6 hours before, it had been at 94. At this time it had only risen to 97. We assumed we would get use it one of the next days and blew it off.
The next morning (our room is called QUIET mind you) I am woken up at 5:45 am by the owner(s) stomping around. I tried to go back to sleep but it was like they were having a dance party before the sun was even up. After a few hours of restlessness, I got up to check out the breakfast, it is a bed and breakfast after all. Come to find out, the breakfast is microwave oatmeal and gas station snacks, GREAT.
Luckily the rest of that Friday was fine. We checked out Nashville, which was a nice touristy town about 15 miles east. When we got back, the hot tub finally was over 100 and we enjoyed it for a about 20 minutes that night. When we got out, we made CERTAIN to cover it up, before retreating back to our room.
This same day, there happened to be a couple in the other attached room, “Peace”. They were no trouble to us, and were gone early the next day. Only problem is, they must have used the hot tub after us and forgot to put the cover back on the hot tub. This caused the hot tub to have the same issue it had when we first arrived, as it wouldn’t heat up. We didn’t learn of this until about 5pm on Saturday after coming back to the cabin from town. When we got back, the owner was waiting for us and immediately beelined at us. When he gets there he is immediately accusatory, telling us we broke the hot tub. I denied this as we had put the cover back on, and I am called a liar. Now I don’t know how this guy gets off, but that is not something that sits well with me.
Next morning, guess who’s up and stomping around before 6am? You guessed it!
After all of this, instead of enjoying a nice breakfast or a morning hot tub, we decided it was more relaxing to leave before 8am on Sunday as sleep was also out of the question
All in all, if I could give this 0 stars, I would. The owner is a dick, the location is terrible, this is a cheap excuse for a BnB and honestly should be flagged as false advertising. No wifi, no hot tub and not even close to quiet.
I would like a full refund but I know there is about a 0% chance that will happen. DON’T BOOK THIS LISTING.
This is a great spot, nice and cozy, and a great value! "Peace and Quiet" is a very appropriate name for this! Being able to look up and see all of the stars and not have any noise or other interruptions is great! We stayed in "Quiet" and it was an awesome getaway for our anniversary. Being able to enjoy the hot tub while the outside temperature was freezing was very nice.
Bring some firewood to use in the chimenea by the hot tub. There are charcoal grills available, so bring some grilling supplies if you want to make some dinner. The room has a table to eat at, or there are tables outside if the weather is suitable.
If you have another couple to go with, being able to rent both rooms would make an ideal couples getaway.
15-20 minutes to either Bloomington or Nashville for dinner is perfect as well!
Wonderful place. It is appropriately named—-Peace & Quiet. The space was perfect for our needs and Peter and Suzanne we quick to respond to our needs.
The place was larger than I expected and everything was very comfortable. We couldn't believe the size of the bathroom and walk in closet. Peter and Suzanne had small snacks and beverages available which was great! We enjoyed coffee on the porch watching the trees and birds. The hot tube was great to soak in while it was cooler outside. Really easy to get to and find. A great place to stay to get away!
Quiet was a lovely, peaceful spot tucked away in the woods. We were welcomed upon arrival and had everything we needed. We loved the rustic setting and hot tub. It was a cozy space, and we enjoyed our stay!
Everything was just as advertised and quite clean! We couldn’t get the password to work on the WiFi but that’s ok.
The tv worked with movies so we had a really relaxing time. The hot tub and snacks were an appreciated bonus!
This charming treasure was A delight! Clean and comfy! We will be back!
Great place for a weekend get away.
Great peaceful getaway for a couple.
Reserved both Peace & Quiet. Both rooms were very nice, and hosts made everything very easy from check-in to all communications. I’d definitely recommend a stay here!
Peter and Suzannes place was awesome! Tucked away and quiet made it so relaxing. We spent the night in the hot tub for the most part and started the morning just the same. Romeo was a lovely little friend to have around and made sure we were comfy. Thank you!
A very lovely space for two, perfect for getting away from the city and relaxing for a weekend. Bring a swimsuit for the hot tub!
Wonderful cozy place very quite and peaceful!
We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for hosting us.
Your place is lovely and the little extras were great.
We saw some wild turkeys , enjoyed hearing the birds
sing and looking at the stars. Great Little Retreat! I would
highly recommend.
We had a great time! It was exactly what we were looking for. My boyfriend and I have been working nonstop and we finally both had the same day off together and wanted to go and relax somewhere and this was the perfect place to do it. We went to Bloomington and walked around some of the stores in town and ate at Malibu Grill which was SO good. We came back had a few beers and relaxed in the hot tub. It was a perfect ending to the night. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to get away and have some "peace" and "quiet". We will definitely be coming back the next time we get a chance! And hopefully will have time to go do some more things around the area on our next visit!
This is such a cozy place, exactly as described! We stayed for a quick overnight staycation, but easily could’ve spent more time here. The directions were clear, and we loved the remote feeling of being in a wooded area. Very romantic and private. We did enjoy briefly meeting Peter and his doggos, and a lovely kitty greeted us home in the evening. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Lovely location.
It was a lovely stay, very wooded and pleasant.
Be sure to take Peter’s advice on where to dine, he knows the best spots!
cute tucked away spot with great atmosphere, nice host, and adorable animals around. definitely relaxing and exactly what we were looking for
So hospitable!!! It was very secluded and just what we were hoping for! Thank you Peter and Susan!
Peter was very nice and informative. The location was a good spot in between Nashville and Bloomington. We really enjoyed the hot tub.
Cannot recommend highly enough! Peter and Suzanna were incredible hosts and we would be happy to come back again!
We stayed in the “quiet” room. Nice room and property located between Nashville and Bloomington. Would definitely recommend!
The place is clean and so many thoughtful touches from cream for the coffee to snacks to toiletries. Beautiful place with a great secluded get away feel. Will definitely return.
This stay was great! Peter was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable and gave us great recommendations for our stay. The place was very clean and easy to find! We will definitely be making another trip to come back!! Highly recommend
We had a wonderful time! Room was just as advertised. 15 minute drive to Nashville and Brown County state park. We loved having Romeo the cat visit us regularly. We would highly recommend and will be back!
Kevin and Brenda
Beautiful cabin home in the middle of the woods. Just far enough from bloomington for a getaway, but close enough to grab dinner. The trip’s intention was to get some alone time with my girlfriend, but I think she fell in love with the cat Romeo instead. Hot tub was nice and wish I could’ve explored the property further.
Peter and Suzanne's "Quiet" getaway is cozy and sweet. We enjoyed the property, the hot tub, and the friendly outdoor kitty. The continental breakfast was yummy as well.
