PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
Me and my girlfriend found this cute BnB with a nice looking hot tub so we decided to book it for a nice little Valentine’s weekend getaway. We were very excited for our stay in “Quiet” as we are both very busy people. Our stay was booked from Thursday to Sunday. What we got was anything but expected.
Thursday, when we got there, the host introduced himself and decided to give us his whole life story. I’m all for talking, but when there are obvious queues someone isn’t interested, just stop talking. We had just driven for 4 hours and were not really in the mood. At the end of this conversation we are told the hot tub is having issues staying warm, but the owner had hopefully fixed it and we would be able to use it a few hours later.
We walk down the path to the room, maneuvering piles of dogshit scattered al over the premises, to unpack our bags. Shortly after getting to the room, I went to connect to the wifi as I brought my laptop for my girlfriend to work on schoolwork. Come to find out, the wifi isn’t working. I call the owner and ask him about this and am IMMEDIATELY met with hostility. I was told that the reason it doesn’t work is my phone provider, which if you have the slightest idea about internet or wifi, you know this is completely wrong. Not only was this conversation accusatory, the man was trying to belittle me for simply asking a question.
A few hours later, around 10/10:30pm, we went to go try the hot tub. When we arrived, 6 hours before, it had been at 94. At this time it had only risen to 97. We assumed we would get use it one of the next days and blew it off.
The next morning (our room is called QUIET mind you) I am woken up at 5:45 am by the owner(s) stomping around. I tried to go back to sleep but it was like they were having a dance party before the sun was even up. After a few hours of restlessness, I got up to check out the breakfast, it is a bed and breakfast after all. Come to find out, the breakfast is microwave oatmeal and gas station snacks, GREAT.
Luckily the rest of that Friday was fine. We checked out Nashville, which was a nice touristy town about 15 miles east. When we got back, the hot tub finally was over 100 and we enjoyed it for a about 20 minutes that night. When we got out, we made CERTAIN to cover it up, before retreating back to our room.
This same day, there happened to be a couple in the other attached room, “Peace”. They were no trouble to us, and were gone early the next day. Only problem is, they must have used the hot tub after us and forgot to put the cover back on the hot tub. This caused the hot tub to have the same issue it had when we first arrived, as it wouldn’t heat up. We didn’t learn of this until about 5pm on Saturday after coming back to the cabin from town. When we got back, the owner was waiting for us and immediately beelined at us. When he gets there he is immediately accusatory, telling us we broke the hot tub. I denied this as we had put the cover back on, and I am called a liar. Now I don’t know how this guy gets off, but that is not something that sits well with me.
Next morning, guess who’s up and stomping around before 6am? You guessed it!
After all of this, instead of enjoying a nice breakfast or a morning hot tub, we decided it was more relaxing to leave before 8am on Sunday as sleep was also out of the question
All in all, if I could give this 0 stars, I would. The owner is a dick, the location is terrible, this is a cheap excuse for a BnB and honestly should be flagged as false advertising. No wifi, no hot tub and not even close to quiet.
I would like a full refund but I know there is about a 0% chance that will happen. DON’T BOOK THIS LISTING.
